Hello there, I’m Karri.
I believe I have been put on this earth to help others in finding their path to a life of meaning.
My mission stems from one personal truth.
My purpose in life is to help, encourage, & support others.
It always has been. As a little girl, I would pretend to be a nurse, a teacher, & even a nun. It shows my inclination to be of service to others even at a very young age.
However, due to family issues, my path required change. I went directly into the corporate world (at age 18) to support myself.
However, later on in life, I discovered three pillars that have helped me, and others, embrace their best lives. These have become my missions.
My first pillar Mission Get Organized came about from a life changing event in our family.
Two weeks before my youngest daughter graduated from high school, she was hit head-on by a drunk driver. We thought we were going to lose her. After all of the surgeries (turning her into a bionic woman), they wanted to put her into a nursing home for the rest of her rehabilitation. There was NO WAY I was going to allow my 17 year old daughter to be placed in a nursing home! So, I took a personal leave/ leave of absence from my corporate position. I stayed home with her while nurses, PT, & OT came to our house to assist in her healing.
That was when I realized just how short life truly is. It made me think about what I was doing daily at work. I was good at what I did/was doing, however, I didn’t LOVE what I did/was doing.
Due to having very strong visual perceptual abilities (also known as visual spatial skills), I found that not only did organizing come easy to me, it was FUN for me.
I was not a proponent of there being only “one” way to organize. I believe in setting up a system that is the “right” way for YOU.
Also, through working with friends, & asking A LOT of questions, I was able to create systems that worked the way their brain worked. If a system is created with your thought processes in mind, you will be able to maintain it. That’s why many systems don’t work for people. They are not set up the way that particular person thinks.
So, that’s how I started my very customized system of serving others to help them get control of their clutter, their paperwork, & their time.
That was in 2004! I cannot even express how much joy I receive from aiding people to create a peaceful, efficient home environment. That is my JAM! (Well, at least ONE of them that is!)
I want to use Mission Get Organized to help you take control of your life, starting with your everyday surroundings. This is one way to help you move towards your best life!
My second pillar Mission Healthy Living came about when my husband was diagnosed with Leukemia.
I discovered the hidden ingredients in our everyday products and promised myself that I needed to reduce as many chemicals, as possible, in my home. I found Young Living with their pure products & Seed to Seal Promise. This is how I protect my home from harmful, possibly life-altering chemicals. My husband is now in remission. We lead a much healthier life. We try to buy organic food as much as possible. We have increased our water intake. He attends a gym at least five days per week. I also give credit to “ditching & switching” exclusively to Young Living’s products instead of the everyday products you typically find in your grocery stores containing many harmful chemicals.
I want to use Mission Healthy Living to help you place your family in a position of informed buying. You NEED TO KNOW what other companies are putting in their products without your knowledge. Let’s get started today!
My third pillar Mission Live Oola I discovered almost by accident.
As a member of Young Living, I was asked if I had ever heard of “The Oola Guys” (Dr. Troy Amdahl & Dr. Dave Braun - they had spoken at a Young Living convention). I picked up their book “Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World” and it spoke to me and all of the hardships I’ve overcome in my life. While attending one of their events, the Oola Guru stated, “Where you are is only where you are. It isn’t WHO you are”. This resonated fully with me, and it became my journey of self-discovery and growth. It has helped me to rediscover who I am, what I want, and where I want to go.
I want to use Mission Oola to help you rediscover yourself, your dreams, and the life that you want. We will create a path for you to get where you want to be. We are in this together!
You are NOT alone.
My missions are my reason to be. This need to help others is fueled by my empathic abilities and my own life experience of feeling helpless in my environments as a child and young adult. I never want a person to feel crushed by expectations or circumstances. I am a survivor of many severe life obstacles: an adult child of alcoholism, loss of a baby, divorce, betrayal, only remaining member of my nuclear family, and loss of who I was (as an individual) for a time. I don’t share this to make you feel bad for me. My faith has been my constant support throughout my life. I share this simply to let you know, You are not alone. I may have experienced many of the things you may be going through right now. Let my experience help you on your path.
